Dr. Kris Chan

Dr. Kris Chan, Managing Partner of SFAI Malaysia is an Approved Company Auditor and Licensed Tax Agent. He is also a Member of Malaysian Institute Accountants, Fellow Member of Association of Chartered Certified of Accountant, Associate Member of Association Chartered Fraud Examiner, Associate Member of Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia and also an Associate Member of Institute of Internal Auditors of Malaysia. He is offered a Professional Doctorate from EIU– Paris and holds a Masters of Science of Accounting from University of London. He also has an Honors Degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University.

He has over 20 years of audit and financial management experience. He started his career with 2 of the Big Four accounting firms and has served multi- national groups and public listed companies. He then held a senior financial position in a public company listed in Bursa. Subsequently, he joined an International accounting firm and rose to the ranks of an Audit Partner. He has vast experience servicing clients from SME to large conglomerate and Public Listed Companies. He has extensive experience acting as the reporting accountant for IPO and Corporate exercises such as fund raising, regularization plans and many.

Dr. Kris Chan was a member of the subcommittee- Capital Market Advisory Committee of the Malaysian Institute of Accountant He is an Independent and Non Executivee Director of :-

Mr Alwin is an Approved Company Licensed Auditor. He has more than 10 years of experience in the audit and assurance field of profession. He is a member of Malaysia Institute of Accountant and a member of ACCA. He started of his career with an international affiliated firm Kreston John & Gan and was promoted to an Audit Senior. He was in charge for audit of Public Listed Companies and Small Medium Enterprise as well. He then moved to Singapore and joined Kreston David Yueng PAC and gained invaluable experience in Auditing and Corporate Advisory engagements. Subsequently, he returns back to Malaysia and join SFAI Malaysia and rose to the rank of an Audit Partner.

Mr Ong is a Chartered Accountant, a Member of Malaysia Institute of Accountant, member of CPA, Australia. He has more than 14 years of working experience in the Audit and Assurance profession. He began his practise with Ecovis Malaysia and rose to the rank of Assistant Audit Manager. He is experienced in Statutory Audit and Special Audit across a broad spectrum of Industries such as Retail, Manufacturing, Services, Trading, Property Development, Construction etc. He subsequently moved across to Singapore to joined a Social Enterprise where he was rewarded with experience in business process re- engineering for Non-Profit organization. He then returned to join SFAI Malaysia and rose to the rank of Audit Partner.

 Ms Tan is an Approved Company Licensed Auditor. She has more than 10 years of experience in the audit and assurance. She is a member of Malaysia Institute of Accountant and a member of ACCA. She started of her career with a local accounting firm and gained vast experience in the audit of large corporations and Small Medium Enterprise.

 Ms Nicole is an Approved Company Licensed Auditor. She has more than 14 years of experience in the audit and assurance field of profession. She is a member of Malaysia Institute of Accountant and a member of ACCA. She started of her career with an international affiliated firm Ecovis Malaysia. She gained vast experience in Ecovis for more than 10 years in Audit & Assurance of Public Listed Companies and Small Medium Enterprise. She also played a significant role and gained invaluable experience in many Corporate Engagement such as Financial Due Diligence, Business Valuation, Review of Cashflow Forecast, etc. She left Ecovis and joined SFAI Malaysia and rose to the rank of an Audit Partner.

Prya Gengadaran

Ms Prya is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and an ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of London and has completed her Certificate in Legal Practice examinations. With over 10 years of Audit and Advisory experience, Ms Prya has extensive exposure in serving Small and Medium Enterprises, Multinational Corporations, and Public Listed Companies. Her professional practice is complemented by substantial experience in legal advisory matters and adjudication matters under the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012 ( CIPAA) administered by the Asian International Arbitration Centre.

Mr. Lex Oh is currently a practicing member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). He holds a Master of Science in Professional Accountancy from University of London and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University.

With over 18 years of extensive experience in professional and public accounting services, he has served diverse industries, including local and multinational companies as well as listed companies. His professional journey began at a reputable mid- tier accounting firm, FKT Grant Thornton Singapore before he joined Deloitte & Touché LLP, Singapore. Apart from serving as reporting accountant for companies’ initial public offerings (IPOs) primarily on the Singapore Exchange (SGX), NASDAQ and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). He also actively supported companies in various corporate actions, such as facilitating mergers & acquisitions, conducting due diligence reviews, spearheading fundraising initiatives and implementing regularisation plans when he held roles as a Group Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer of SGX listed companies.

Mr. Chen is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), as well as a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He began his professional career with a local audit firm, where he built a strong foundation in auditing and taxation, serving a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from small and medium-sized enterprises to large corporations across various industries. Over the years, he has developed extensive expertise in statutory audits, tax compliance, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements, with a deep understanding of Malaysian financial and tax frameworks. Currently, Mr. Chen serves as an Audit Director at SFAI Malaysia PLT, where he leads audit engagements, oversees client relationships, and provides strategic guidance on financial reporting and governance matters.

Mr. YC Ng is a Business Development Director with a strong foundation in finance and multinational corporate experience. He began his career with a brief period in audit, gaining fundamental exposure to financial reporting and compliance, before joining one of Asia’s leading outsourced accounting firms, where he spent five years supporting multinational clients in the retail & manufacturing sector. He later gained corporate exposure as an analyst in one of the world’s largest mining companies, followed by a role in the world’s second-largest wines and spirits organisation, where he managed finance functions and was actively involved in client engagement and business growth initiatives. This experience sparked a strong interest in business development and strategic partnerships. Leveraging extensive MNC exposure, he focuses on bringing structured processes, commercial insight, and global best practices to SMEs in Malaysia, positioning the firm as a trusted business partner in driving sustainable growth.

Ms. Mei Leng has over seven years of experience in the audit and assurance profession and holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Accounting and Finance from Liverpool John Moores University. She began her career with an international audit firm, Forvis Mazars PLT, where she gained extensive exposure to audit and assurance engagements, including audits of Public Listed Companies, multinational corporations, and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) across various industries. She subsequently joined SFAI Malaysia PLT, where she progressed through the ranks and currently holds the position of Audit Director.

 Mr Kato has more than 25 years of experience in the accounting profession. He graduated from Kwansei Gakuin University (Japan) and he is also a member of Malaysia Institute Certified Public Accountant. He started his career in Deloitte Japan for six year and was seconded to Deloitte Malaysia in 1997 till 2007.

He then joined another International Accounting Firm in Malaysia mainly focusing on Assurance, Tax and Advisory services to Japanese companies in Malaysia. He assumes the role of Executive Director in SFAI Malaysia to promote the firm’ s quality service to Japanese Companies set up in Malaysia and also to promote Malaysia as a top choice for foreign investment especially to Japan.

Richard Khoo

Richard is a Licensed Tax Agent, Approved GST Tax Agent, Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) with over 16 years of professional experience. Richard was the Head of Tax Services, with Boardroom Limited in Malaysia. He was also the CO- Head of the Tax Department of a mid- tier accounting firm in Malaysia. He has extensive taxation experience in corporate and individual tax compliance, tax audit and investigation, tax advisory and transfer pricing advisory for public listed companies and multi- national corporations.

Ms Lim is a Licensed Tax Agent, Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), Chartered Tax Instituteof Malaysia (CTIM) and Fellow member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) with over 20 years of professional experience. She embark her tax career with KPMG Tax Services Sdn Bhd and rose to senior ranks. She then move to a Multi National Company to serve as the Regional Tax Head, overseeing the Tax Compliance and Advisory Department. She has extensive taxation experience in corporate and individual tax compliance, tax audit and investigation, tax advisory and transfer pricing advisory for public listed companies and multinational corporations.
